Yep, just couldn't stand it any longer. I had to find out if the garden centers had anything besides Pansies, Cyclamen and Petunias yet. No, they really didn't have much more than those but Lowe's is expecting their first plant shipment one day next week!!!

Had to get these red Petunias, all I have out front are purple so these should look good with them.

Figured I would try potatoes again.

Starting from the left, bright red, deep purple, bright yellow and possibly a light yellow too early in the bud to tell. But I will take another photo as they open up.

Holly represents December, the birth month of my oldest grandson and I am trying to have plants from birthmonths of my immediate family.

I have collected hanging baskets the last few months to grow Strawberries in. Gonna get some netting to cover them so the birds don't get to eat them before we do.

The Lilies I have had in the ground for several years really suffered the last two years with the drought. I am not sure they will come back so I finally found some replacements.

Anxiously awaiting the new shipment next week.

Nice selection. Now to see them bloom.
With your green thumb they will be beautiful.

My first flower bed in 1979 or 80 was a long row of deep purple Petunias. They did incredible and the fragrance was intense.

After that, I decided flower beds with annuals were not my thing and moved on to perennials.

Oh boy! You have been busy, eh Toni?
What a neat idea to have plants that have a relation to family members. That adds another level of enjoyment to gardening.

Nice Rosemary plant. I have that one myself and we have it handy for cooking. It has not gotten very big because we use the leaves in cooking so often.

Toni the Enabler at it again! I promised myself I'd be patient this year... oh wait... I already purchased/potted some bare root plants! It won't hurt to just stop by a couple nurseries just to see what they have... right? :-o

Oh boy Toni you did well with that lot didn't you? I've not bought any plants, so far, this year. My bulbs, that I got last Autumn, have all begun to sprout though so it won't be long until I hit the garden centres. :-D

That's fantastic Toni! I won't see any plants for sale here for months yet. But today on my shopping trip I am going to pick up some potting soil and re-pot a bunch of my indoor plants. That's the closest thing I can do to gardening right now ... big winter storm currently blowing into Ontario. We should have 25cm of new snow by morning :(
