    I attended a coffeehouse last night. My 16 year old son was performing with friends, so I went to watch/listen. (Only recently has he agreed to let me come, so I don't miss it!). Anyway, there was a raffle/fundraiser for a good cause, so of course I bought 6 tickets. And one of the items being raffled was a (drumroll......) GARDENER'S BASKET! I stuffed the ballot box with all 6 of my tickets & won 1)Smith & Hawkins beautiful trowel 2)pair of gardening gloves 3) 2 tomato seedlings 4) 2 pepper seedlings 5) 14 yes 14!! dahlia tubers!!!! Oh! and a giant bag of compost, and of course,2 baskets to carry it all in!!!! Yahoooooooo!!!!

    Hi all! Thanks for your well wishes! I have already planted 1/2 the dahlia tubers, of course, using the gardening gloves, trowel & compost. what a deal!
