    Found this Rhino Beetle at my Mom's place over the weekend. Glad he was already dead!
    So many interesting things about these "monsters"... from keeping as pets to fighting them.

    Ewww!!! I really dislike ugly, creepy crawlers. *shudder*

    That bug is HUGE! Good thing there isn't any of them around here. At least I hope not.

    I hadn't seen one this size since I was a kid.
    Now... just wait until the neighbor kids come home so I can scare them with it!

    What an amazing but ugly beetle. You've just got to admire Mother Nature though haven't you when she produces beetles like that!!

    Creepy, but kinda beautiful. I agree, it is only a face a mother could love, but so glossy and well made.

    And I thought our southern beetles were tough! I wouldn't want to meet that amongst the Petunias.
