Well, I'll bee darned, EJ--- those fotos are beeutiful. Not only are they good fotos, but they also show what lovely flowers you have growing there.
Did you have to comb your foto archives, or are they newly taken?
Anyway, thanks for showing these...they gave me a real buzz.

Newly taken today sjoerd, but not in my garden. We visited the RHS garden at Hyde Hall today, only 5 minutes from our front door and they had a lovely family fun day. Wasps were the biggest nuisance as they were making themselves at home around the cafe and restaraunt.

You are a lucky one...Hyde Hall so close by!
Yes the wasps were a nuisence here as well this year--due to the 'soft' winter last year.
My fingers are crossed for a bit more cold this year.
Those little rascals really damaged my plums this year. The blue tits came by and pecked a hole in the plum, then the wasps followed, enlarging the hole. It was a nightmare.

Great shots EJ. I have a fascination for bees and am happy to say that I have two different types nesting in my garden this year. :-D

Lovely photos EJ! :D We've got a bumble bee nest here too. I like them much better than the wasps.

I'm bringing home a baby bumblebee,
Won't my mommy be so proud of me,
I'm bringing home a baby bumblebee,
    Ouch! It stung me!

I'm squishing up the baby bumblebee,
Won't my mommy be so proud of me,
I'm squishing up a baby bumblebee,
    Ooh! It's yucky!

I'm wiping off the baby bumblebee,
Won't my mommy be so proud of me,
I'm wiping off the baby bumblebee,
Now my mommy won't be mad at me!

    A silly little childrens song
