We are off on our first vacation in six years, and I'll miss all you Stewies since we won't have internet access. We are heading to the bright lights in San Antonio. We plan to eat at restaurants with real tablecloths; visit two art museums and a couple of galleries; visit the S.A. Botanical Gardens (surprise, surprise!); have tapas and wine on the Riverwalk and listen to jazz; and see the zoo. We'll also do some shopping at a restaurant supply store (there goes the retirement fund) and will be picking up a drag harrow and 50 lbs. of Hubam clover seed that isn't available locally. We have a chicken sitter all lined up, and Feliz the cat is going to board at the veterinarian's. I have made the vet sign a pledge to return Feliz when we get back. She is so crazy over our calico I worried about her returning our little queen. Good neighbors are going to keep an eye on the house (although any burgler would take a look around and leave a donation and a sympathy card) and water the garden if needed. We are off! I'll try to take photos and bore y'all with my travelogue when we get back.
Have a GREAT time!!! Don't forget the Alamo.....oh, wait that's Remember the Alamo. Wonderful history there and on the plaque of the men who died that day, you will find Eliel Melton...Randy's 3rd or 4th great Uncle.

Oh, good for you Jane. Have a great time. Our Kyle went to San Antonio a couple weeks or so ago for a college robotics competition and LOOOOVED it. Said he wanted to go back ASAP. Enjoy the river walk, that's all he talked about.
