I wanted you all to know that I have been talking about you! Are your ears burning??? :D Yesterday I went to the Red Cross to donate blood and started talking to the lady about "The Stew". She was very interested. I told her we had members from all over, some in Sweden, Norway the United Kingdom all across the United States, Canada, Scotland...
The only problem was I didn't know what to call us :headscratch: What exactly are we? I know it isn't a chat room. I just said it was an awesome garden website full of really nice people where we post photos, talk about flowers and vegetables and learn lots of stuff. Does anybody else out there brag about "The Stew"?

I call us Stewbies, or the Stew crew. And you're right of course. We're the best there is. :D What we are? A bunch of lovely people with an enormous variation in interests that have found an online home here.

I think Droopy's got it. I call it the Stew and I talk about it all the time. Unfortunately I don't have that many people to talk garden with which is why I joined here when I found y'all.

Good for you Stratsmom, donating blood. I used to do it all the time myself, but now I have health issues that won't allow me to. Pat yourself on the back.

I eat, sleep and breathe GardenStew. Of course I talk about it a lot when someone asks me what I do. Their eyes normally glaze over shortly afterwards however

Quite partial to calling us Stewbies :)

I'd happily chat about The Stew to anyone and everyone. I've been known to sit on a park bench and start yakking to the person next to me about you all until they either fall asleep or become comatose!!! :D :D

I too tell other gardeners about the stewbies. I even tried to get my sister to join, but alas she's happy I joined but not into gardening as much as I.
I have sent the website link into our MSU extension office in hopes that they would pass it along to other gardeners as well.

Well, I just refer to this website as a collection of forums generally divided up ionto various subjects mostly having to do with aspects of gardening. I refer to the participants as Stewbies.
Sadly most of the gardners where I garden are not too handy with english nor with computers...so they just sort of nod and say..."ja, ja".
Those poor folks do not know what they are missing.

I guess you would call the site a forum, but what sort of forum? Yes we talk about gardening, and hobbies, and the weather, and, well, just about anything goes!
