Just got back a little while ago and thought I'd see what you've all been up to. ;) I was supposed to be home on Thursday but Ian had more work to do than he thought in Inverness.

I'm just off to make us both a cuppa as it's rather cold in here - the heating hasn't kicked in yet - so will be back shortly.

You were gone? Just kidding! So how was Inverness? It's cold here today too. Was 4 deg F when I got up this morning. Don't need anymore of those!

4 deg F, yikes! I don't think I've ever experienced cold like that in my life.

When I was in the US Navy, I taught survival school. They sent me to Crystal City Cnada to go through Arctic survival school with the Canadian Forces. Of course it was in Feb. The temp when we got off the plane was -45 deg. F. The last day we were supposed to move into a survival tent. But a storm moved in and it dropped to -80 F. The wind chill, what it feels like on your skin was estimated at 150 deg. below zero. It was completely off the charts so they didn't know what it was. We were so far north that we were actually west of magnetic north. The worst 10 days in an igloo I ever spent!
