The Peahens are usually here daily but the past 2 days has been only one. I feel like the other one is setting on a nest of eggs even though they want hatch as there is no gander. They do this yearly.

This is a couple of a little better shots.

Maybe it's just as well you don't have a peacock visiting you Glenda. You'd be overrun with peafowl if those eggs all hatched out. Great photographs. :-D

So from Eileen's reply, I gather that a peahen is a female peacock? How did I not put that together??? So peacocks live "wild" there is Texas Glenda? I had no idea -- how neat. She's lovely.

I'm pround to show them SongofJoy .I think they are pretty ladies but if they decide to roost on your car .You must get all of the crap off as it will ruin the paint. They are pretty running around but they dig really bad.I wish I had a hugh pen and a male.I would raise them as the male is a really beautiful site to behold but are really expensive to buy.A pen would cost so much to build. They fly really well I have the land but not the funds.

....I think that is true with a lot of bird droppings but I certainly wouldn't want one that large on my car... but they sure are pretty.

Nice photos of course. But maybe a baby gate on the porch might keep them off.

Call the game commision there if you have one, an they may relocate them. They do that for bears up here..
