Hubby gave me the go ahead on my kitchen last week. Painter has been here all week. So everything is everywhere as you can see in my livingroom. ( And no Jerry the refrigerator is not going to be moved again.) The fresh paint looks and feels so nice. After 20 years of cleaning grout I've had enough. Counters are going. Next week I am having Corian installed Yipeeee! I know your all thinking my counters look beautiful, but you can't see the nasty grout. Anyway between healing , gardening, canning and now this I'm really exhausted. I need a vacation. Anyone got room for me? Cabinet doors came off Monday ( photo / image / picture from Donna S's Garden ) Everything is everywhere. ( photo / image / picture from Donna S's Garden ) In the sunroom also. C'mon down, Donna! I'm making marinara sauce, but you can sit on a kitchen stool under the overhead fan and supervise. Then we'll bake some bread, you can pet the cat, and we'll go out and talk to the hens and collect eggs. It may not be a traditional vacation, but it's the best I can offer .
Even the smallest remodel is exhausting. We should ll be allowed a vacation while someone else supervises and does the work. then we can come back to a finished project. In my dreams that is how it would be....alas never the case in my world.
Your kitchen looks like such a great space. You'll love it when it's done. You will love the Corian too. I have it in the bathrooms and it is great.
That work looks super, Donna. Who wouldn't want you to help them with such a task. Gad, it really does look good!
I really does look good! What color corian will you install? As far as your vacation, don't go vacation with Marlingardener, come here! We can sit out on my deck and watch the deer, or head into town and make fun of all the people with the weird southern accents We can curl up on my couch and watch mindless TV while my dogs (they're itty-bitty 3 pound chihuahuas, remember?) will make a serious attempt to lick you to death!
Love the new counter! Corian is SO easy to care for, I'm sure you're thrilled. I particularly like your backsplash, now that I see it up close. The floral line of tiles is just lovely!
I'm trying to talk DH into painting my cup-boards. We would do it next spring. And do the work our self . Take doors off and make painting booth in garage.
