Went to a cookout family reunion today at my mother-in-laws place.Bratwurst on the grill and enough other food to feed a 3rd world nation. All the kids took a minimum of one dish most brought 2 or 3. My wifes mother is 92 and still lives on her own, exercises 3 days a week and takes care of her own house. But if she needs help with anything, she has kids living all around her within a block. We live the furthest away and that is only about 20 miles.

There is always way too much to eat at family reunions. We had too much at our anniversary last month and I made the most of it. I did give it to the neighbors when they left so I would have some room in the refrigerator for my water bottles.
Your mother-in-law is to be commended for staying active at 92 when most people that age just sit around watching tv and doing nothing of any value. I hope to keep active myself. Having a garden is my activity.

Sounds like a good reunion....especially with all the food. I especially like bratwurst.

Here we eat brats on rye buns with mustard and onions. Sometimes with saurkraut on them too!

Nothing like a family get together! Food, family, and love are great connections in life. Your Mother in law sounds like a spunky woman!
We are going to Bob's Auntie's 91st birthday party this coming weekend. The family is huge! I have a tough time keeping track of everybody! We will certainly have a feast also.
I will be stuffed too ;)

Capt. Kirk and Kay: yup family get togethers are great. Yummmm I love Brat's. Capt. and Kay I had to chuckle at your saying you were stuffed or would be stuffed. In Australia when you are stuffed you are saying you are pregnant. :D :D My hubby lived there for about 2yrs and learned that some of our words totally mean something else over there. ;)
