I was given by someone last year, it is around 3 years old. Noticed this grafted mandarin plane is full of trifoliate, please see photos. Will this plant NOT fruit at all? I guess even I cut down all the branches this will not survive...as the "main brown" branch was already dead.
If the scion above the graft is dead, it's highly unlikely to regenerate. You could learn grafting and obtain scion from a friend, graft that onto the trifolate orange rootstock. But grafting is an art that needs some mentoring, and you may not want to go there. Trifoliate oranges are seedy and very bitter. Most people can't eat them due to the bitterness.
