Ok so currently got about 6-9 cucmbers plants starting to bear fruit for my gherkin's (mmm gherkins)

but they seem to be fruiting in 2's

do you pick and store your cucumbers so you get enough to then pickle?

at this rate I will be doing i jar per week.

just wondered if there are any gherkin pros on the board.

    thanks for any help

I am not familiar with Gherkins but with regular pickling cucumbers I have found that when they first get started ripening you get one or two a day. I have to store the first few in the fridge until I get enough for a batch, for my recipe I need at about 10 cukes measuring about 5 inches long.
But in a few days, they are ripening so quickly that I have to make a batch every third day.
My sweet pickle recipe is a three-day recipe so the timing was great for me.
