Deanna...I would of been glad to but yesterday I pulled both plants out of the ground and disposed of them because they were full of aphids and I tried so many ways to get rid of them and none of them worked. Last year I had a problem with them too and cut both down to the ground. I thought I was good this year and then our weather has been so wet and it only got a 1/2 day of sun..so I got sick and tired of spraying and squashing them bugs...sorry.

What a shot of colour! I love the zinnias, they are something I have never grown, the same with the gallardia...me thinks I need to add them to next years gardening list.

Very very lovely! The gallardia is really striking... and the lupine... and the butter and sugar iris looks (and sounds) yummy.

So here is a question that comes to my mind. I think of Iris as Spring blooming flowers but zinnia and snapdragon as more of a summer bloomer that we plant from seed or buy as annuals. I can't recall seeing them blooming at the same time here... How is it that you have both?

Those are all lovely blooms Sherry. The Clematis is my favorite. Sorry to hear about the aphids on your Lupins. You pulled them out? Wow, you don't mess around!

Those are beautiful blooms Sherry. I think the zinnia is my favorite flower. A good friend gave me some gallardia last month to transplant to a new bed I am working on. Not sure if it is going to make it or not. Zinnias are so easy to grow around here. It is one plant that has never failed me. It reseeds itself also. Thank you for sharing your pics.

daisybeans...around here they have plants brought in early and even though the plant itself is small in the spring, they usually have flowers on them. Most of the time, I cut the flower heads off so they work more on the filling out on the stem area. All of my petunias I deadheaded to give them a good start. The siberian iris around here is a later bloomer than the other iris. All of my other iris are coming to an end in the gardens except the tall dutch. I just planted 50 of them a while back so they will be blooming in the next month or so. That one tall dutch iris is from last years planting, the only one that made it. That is why I had planted more from the company, a replacement.I hope you can understand my reply.

One plant the nurseries always get first around here is the impatiens..why? I would like to know that answer myself. It is way to chilly so if you do get some you can't plant in the ground yet...and if it is in a basket you would have to bring it in. This has been a different type of spring for us. In May when we usually get the rain, we didn't...we got it about a month later and things are so wet here.

    AHA! That explains it, Sherry.
Don't you love the resiliency of flowers? I always want to say "good job" to the ones that make it.
