Came across this in a client's house. I just LOVE her use of cranberries floating in the vase waters to add a lovely visual punch to her arrangement!

What a lovely table display. The cranberries tie everything else together beautifully.

Gorgeous. What an innovative idea and interesting use of cranberries. They definitely do add panache to the floral arrangement.

Yeah, I thought it was a great idea. I've been wracking my brains trying to think of other things, in different colors to accent a different colored flower for example, that you could float in water for a similar effect. I wondered about blueberries....but I think they'd get soggy really really fast.

I also thought of corn kernels, but I don't think they'd float would they? And that led me to the many varieties and colors of beans....and I KNOW most of them won't float, but then I thought of the visual punch they would lend to a vase of flowers, and having beans instead of the glass stones that one often puts at the bottom of a floral arrangement to help anchor the plants.
