So what is this plant? It was on our Garden walk tour I just posted about. DSCN4555.JPG

The leaves are maple leaf shaped, and I am not sure if these are seeds or flowers that have not opened yet? Thanks for the help.

This flower is so beautiful. I wonder if it isn't an Aster?

I don't know about the top photo but the flowers in the bottom photo look like they could almost be dahlias to me. They're very pretty and I'm guessing dahlia.

That beautiful yellow and red flower is a Dahlia.

I was thinking along the same lines Islandlife - aren't they gorgeous? Not sure about the first plant but it reminds me of a Maple Leaf Viburnum.

That is truly a lovely dahlia. Very tiny but such vibrant colours.

Dahlias are one of my favourites as you get such variety of form and colour.

Thank you all for the Dahlia ID.
Palustris-you were right. I looked it up and I can grow it in my area. I plan on digging up some large leaves Hosta's in my front shade garden this fall. They start looking really ragged as the summer wears on and the leaves collect so much dauber because of there large size. That would be great in front as I do not have any color out there this time of year.
