Now, don't laugh, but I miss having Blue Jays! For some reason they don't come out into the country and prefer to stay in town. We have Red-Bellied, and Cardinals, but no jays. Thanks for letting me see yours. (And Wayne is a hearty, good-hearted person to go out into the snow to fill feeders!)
I don't mind the Blue Jays.It is the sparrows that like to eat us out of house & home. My friend that lives in town doesn't have sparrows but she has Starlings which aren't desirable at feeders. I also have Downy Woodpeckers,Nuthatches,Juncos,Finches & Mourning Doves. sNs
That's so close to your window. That's nice. They probably ignore you or don't even notice you. Better for you to get a good look at them. Mine is about 20 feet away from my kitchen window and up in the air on a 10 foot post and pulleys to lower and add feed. That's so we feed the birds and not the bear out there....
Great shots!! The Wayne bird is especially nice to see as it's a species that is so generous to all the others and keeps them well fed. :-D
Eileen,Your comment on Wayne bird gave me my first big chuckle of new year.I sometimes caption that pic as the "Old Bird". Barb,Luckily no bears here! Squirrels can get troublesome but it is fun to try to foil them. KK I'm sure we have the same birds. I have had the Titmouse to visit, also. My cat loves the close proximity of the feeders. She spends hours in the bay window. sNs
SNS I would love to have bay window. So would our cat. In summer birds hang on screen. And gets nose-to beak with them. Our feeders are close to house also.
Very lovely photos and scenery. That's so nice of the Wayne-bird to replenish the feeder once he's done :-D
