Have I showed you my iris? Sorry if I did but I am having a senior moment or it can just be because I post at a couple different sites... I brought these with me when I moved in August of 2005. I just thinned them out again last fall and I had so many that I stuck them everywhere. I know I will have to move some after they flower this season but I wasn't sure which ones were the yellow ones that I really like.I sure didn't want to get rid of some of my favorites....

Oh boy your iris's are really spectacular Sherry!! Being a lover of white and blue flowers you can guess which piccies are my favourites. I do really like the iris in your second photograph though and the yellow ones are so bright and cheerful. :stew2:

They are lovely! You've done well to make them grow and bloom like that. Thanks for showing them. :)

I didnt used to like the yellows. The ones I saw looked so brownish to me.

Love the pictures! I think the blue and white ones are my favorite.

I'm an iris fan too. My sister hates them and gave me some from her yard years ago. My husband accidentally bulldozed them last year. I managed to save just a few.

    Thanks for the pictures.

Irises are one of my favorites. I have a lot of Siberian Irises in my yard, and they look great even when not in bloom. Just a few more months people...

Your irises are beautiful too, Wrennie. Thet look so elegant, don't they. That salmon-coloured one is really pretty. I love that tint.

They are all so lovely! I like the Iris sibirica, the ones with roots not rhizomes like the germanica species.

The reason is that the sibirian ones will bloom regardless of the weather, while the germanicas, the bearded irises, want more sun and warmth. Even though the germanicas are far more showier with bigger flowers and more colour, at least the sibirians do well here.

Here are a couple of mine:

This one is a bulb, I believe they're Iris hollandica:
