I'm sort of new at herb gardening and i'm not sure if this is dead I don't think it's completely dead because there are green parts. What could I do to revive it? (I live on the east coast so the winter is relatively cold, and the thyme got snowed on before I had a chance to take it inside to the sun room)..

Not dead, but in need of a little TLC!
May I suggest that you leave it in the sunroom, keep the soil moist but not water-logged, and let the plant recover.
When it starts to show new green near the base, you can harvest (cut off and use, or cut off and dry for later use) the longer strands. Just harvest about 1/3 of them at a time--the plant still needs leaves to build up its strength.

Sodapup - Did your plant survive? I have a lavender plant that looks just like yours. I'm hoping it'll make it but I'm not so sure. :)

Sodapup, Marlingardener is right but if you need insurance just start a couple of new plant from the healthiest sprigs from your plant.
