Is this a mallow?

    This picture was taken in July or early August. It's in partial light shade. I think it might be some kind of mallow. Any ideas?

    I think that looks a lot like an Althea. You call them hollyhocks I believe.

    I would plump for hollyhock too.

    If so I hope I can figure out the species or cultivar, as I want it again next year if possible.
