Is this a Narcissis or a Daffy?

    Here is another type of mine,
    is it a daffy or narcissis?
    Hubby says narcy.I says daffy..

    Oh, that's a beauty.
    I would call it a daffodil, to me, narcissis are smaller.

    Ok ......

    Someone told me now that Narcissus is just the Latin name for daffy.

    Now were all correct.......Googled Narcissus and that is what it says.....wee we are all correct.

    Narcissus is the Genus name
    There are many Cultivars... i.e. Narcissus 'Sir Winston Churchill'

    But the common name for them is Daffodil.

    And there are some plants with the common name of Daffodil that are not a Narcissus ...that's where the botanical name becomes very important.
