Is this Speedwell (Veronica)?

    I think the leaves are longer on Speedwell, that could be Purple Loosestrife. The color looks more like Loosestrife too. Loosestrife is
    Usually pretty invasive

    Thank you Toni, but I honestly don't think it is Purple Loosestrife. My plant is only about a foot tall and has the same leaf as this one:

    Looks like Veronica spicata to me. Speedwell to me is a creeping blue and white lawn thug!

    Yep, it does look like Veronica spicata (spiked speedwell)
    I had been looking at another variety with larger leaves.

    From what I can find, Speedwell is the common name for any of the various plants of the Genus Veronica and with almost 500 species, it probably does include some creeping varieties.

    Sure looks like Veronica to me too Chelsea. I have it in pink, blue and white :)
