I thought I had lost this plant but to my surprise it popped up a little further over in the pot. But is it really Verbena Bonariensis? The general habit seems different from the parent plant.

It doesn't look at all like it to me, Netty. I have some fotos of this plant that I could dig up if you should need to see them.
The leaves seem to broad and the colour green doesn't look right to me.

Sjoerd's right Netty it doesn't look as though it is a Verbena Bonariensis.

Here's a piccie of what the foliage should look like if it were.

Ah...good foto, Eileen. I was thinking that Netty's pic looked like a Basil plant. I don't know if that is possible, but it looks like it to me....or perhaps a Fuchia.

And the stems would be square if it is the verbena.

Ok, so if it's NOT Verbena Bonariensis, what IS it? I found this "bloom" on it

The stems are not square. Here it is beside a Fuchsia leaf - Fuchsia is on the left with the red veining.
