My new Geranium arrived this morning. Select Seeds had told me it wouldn't be shipped before March 25th and since I had ordered about a month ago I had sorta forgotten about it.

I heard a rather unceremonious thunk on the front porch and went to the door expecting to find yet another of the 20 or so phone books given to us each year. But instead found a package printed with the words Perishable Live Plant....two large arrows pointing to one end and the words THIS END UP. Of course the box was laying on it's back....such thoughtful mail carriers we have nowadays.

The plant is in great condition and even tho it doesn't look like much right now, it is healthy and should have a good growth spurt after I get it potted and out front....after these storms pass over.

And the fragrance is wonderful, you can smell a hint of both chocolate and peppermint when you run the leaves. The little gold pail is mine, the plant is in a small two inch plastic pot.

That does look great for a mail order. Mail order is always kind of a crapshoot but those catalogs always have some Must Haves in them. Too bad the Forum doesn't have a scratch n sniff feature. 8)

It certainly looks strong and healthy Toni. Why, oh why can't mailmen ring the bell or knock the door with a package of lives plants though. :(

I forgot to mention earlier that the blooms on it are white. I have never had a white geranium before, it should be gorgeous.

Looks healthy - wish we could smell it. Looking forward to pics. Our mail carrier is pretty good with packages, always leaves them upright on the little table on the porch by the front door.

Frank, where is the scratch and sniff button. I bet it's on the tool bar which we opted out of because of space. Dooley
