The first two I bought last night at the Whole Foods Market, they are turning out to be a good source of plants with prices lower than most anywhere else.

It seems that since I started gardening I just have to have a red Geranium near or on the front walkway....

I have a ground hugging version of Plumbago, now I have an upright version....

A couple of years ago I had several Holiday Cactus in different colors. They became infected with gnats and in my untrained attempt to get them clean I killed all but two pieces. They muddled through last year and this year they have both bloomed. This one bloomed this morning....

The Rhapsody in Blue Salvia is showing off this year. Only one bloom last year but since we have been having 80-85 deg days it started early and profusely this year.

And the big purple Clematis flowers are beginning to bloom out back...

The Snow Queen Clematis has about a dozen buds with two getting very large and close to opening.

I love all the blue Toni. Also isn't it a bit late for that cactus to be blooming. :p All mine bloomed in November and December.

Thanks, I am slowly finding more blue plants that I really like, too many reds, oranges and purples out in the garden already.

Those Cacti can be made to bloom any time of the year, just takes the right amount of light and dark.

Gosh you've got geraniums already!! I can't even contemplate starting my seeds off for another month or more as it's just too cold.

I love all your blue flowers - well I would wouldn't I? :p I've got my fingers tightly crossed that the dozen forget-me-nots I planted manage to survive and flower for me this year. I'm even thinking of painting my wagon wheel blue as I love the colour so much.

I love, love, LOVE the Plumbago! I'll have to see about getting some this year. I love the Salvia and Clematis too, but I already have those in my garden. I love that color blue! Toni, you should try Dracocephalum grandiflorum (Dragon's Head)

Well Toni--I am really impressed with that blue salvia. It is quite a looker, isn't it?

The Clematis "Snow Queen", is pretty dramatic too.

When I saw that red geranium, I knew that was on my way into summer...I know it, but the weather gods here do not yet realize it. ;)

Very pretty flowers Toni. You guys down in Texas are showing off right now. I am :D jealous.
We had snow last night, and more in the chilly forecast. No flowers for me yet...

Eileen I knew you would like the blue flowers. Now that I am adding more to my garden I will have to remember not to get carried away there are so many really pretty ones I don't have yet.

Netty, I will have to see if I can find the Dragon's Head locally or maybe at least on line. That one is pretty too.

I love that Rhapsody in Blue Salvia too, Sjoerd. That's the title of my all time favorite George Gershwin piece...especially the clarinet opening and every other part of it too. The Clematis 'Snow Queen' isn't blooming yet, sorry I got you confused with that last line. I meant to take it out before hitting submit.

Glendann, it took a couple of years for the Clematis to really take off and produce a bloom or two but boy where they worth the wait. Hope you have better luck with them next time.

Yep, Kay, you have probably heard how much Texans like to brag!! ;) But just wait until later in the summer when you all have really nice spring like temps and we are in the oven of the country...I won't be bragging about that!

Jerry, I bought that Clematis so long ago I can't find the tag or remember the name. BUT I just did a more involved search and by jove I think I've got it.... Clematis 'H.F.Young'. Yeah, I am so glad I found the name,
