It was a slow day today. Maybe because it's so hot here. Yesterday it was 103 degs and that was the forecast for today. We took a lot of water and Rick's wife brought us lemonade. They kept coming down to see if we were okay. I did okay but not as well as the other two weeks in the new location. I took some pictures but for some reason only resized this one. Ours is the blue umbrella looking stand. It was windy but we didn't have any trouble with our canopy. The ones with the square ones had to tie them down. farm market stands ( photo / image / picture from dooley's Garden ) dooley
Sorry to hear of the slow day at the Market. But with the temps... it's easy to understand why. From just looking at your photo... I know I would have stopped by your spot first thing! It looks so bright, cheery and inviting!
Wow! 103* I'm not sure I, as a vendor would even be there, that is a miserable temperature to endure. Sorry to hear you had a slow day though. Hope next week is better.
Our temp reached 104 today. I'm not surprised there were few people there today. 103 and all concrete around the vendors, that must have been an oven there. Temps are supposed to cool back down to normal....around 95 next week, maybe it will be a better day.
103°F is 39°C and I wouldn't be able to move at all! I'm surprised you managed to stand or sit outside at all. Your stand looks very nice. I hope trade will pick up for you as temps cool.
I would have been underneath a BIG fan keeping cool as I wouldn't have been able to stand such high temperatures. I hope things cool down in time for the next market day and that your sales improve Dooley. I love the blue of your stand canopy - really eye catching.
Sorry about your slow day, Dooley....but there'll be another day, and the quality of your aprons, etc. will not melt away with the heat. Hang in there. ....Yeah, I can talk big--I've got my Dooley original already. haha.
It's hard for folks to do much with heat like that... but hope they're all home thinking -- ooh, next week when I go, I need to stop by that apron lady's stand! (That's what I would be doing!) I was at a FM yesterday and all day I was thinking about this pottery lady and hoping she'll be there again next time. Your stand looks very good.
