After many endless hours on my computer I deleted quite a few pictures ( I take a lot of them) on it from my photo albums and everything went back to normal. It was going so slow and I almost started looking for a new one and I did this...I would of never thought that having so many pictures would slow it down. I guess I am learning more than I thought about computers....so AOL was not the culprit, I did it myself .

Aren't you glad you didn't 'toss' it. Sometimes a really good house cleaning will work wonders. Glad you're back. ;)

Yea everything you put on your computer takes up memory. Some programs need a certain amount of memory to run correctly.

You may also want to go into your internet options and clean out your temporary files and cookies, as those can take up a bit of space as well. If you have never done this before, it may also take a while for it to finish.

One problem is a husband that can't help when it comes to computers..he works on them all day but the company has someone to get them out of trouble if something goes wrong.....I am learning more than I am really interested in. All I want to do is talk gardening and birds, etc. not learn all this computer info. Learning things on how to use my camera is enough for me.

    Thank you for the replies..

Glad to hear that it wasn't AOL. The picture acumulation is a fixable hinderance.
