Just finished watching our favorite Christmas movie, It's a Wonderful Life. Of course, once again, we saw Zuzu's Petals. dr
I'm going to shock you all and admit that I have never seen It's a Wonderful Life I have however seen Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory many times on Xmas Day
And Zuzu still has a pocket full of petals all these years later. She has built a career on Zuzu and petals. I, like you, Frank, have not seen the movie either and it was not until a newspaper story a couple days ago that I knew what it/she was.
I've seen it only once - it was very cute, though I like some of James Stewart's other films better. We chose his "Shop Around the Corner" instead, also set at Christmas. We love it!
Awww, my #1 MUST SEE Christmas time movie. In George Bailey's journey of discovery and redemption, he finds his little daughter's crushed flower in his pocket at the pivotal moment. To me "Zuzu's petals" represent a moment of epiphany, and the gift of a second chance, an opportunity to live one's life with new appreciation. Here is an interesting piece. .............................................. Just had a b'day, 53 now.
A mere child fair ZuZu. I was once told I was only as old as I felt and I thought God I hope not. Happy belated Birthday as A gentleman I promise to remember your Birthday but never remember your age.
Prim, Did you know that "Shop Around the Corner" is the story that the Meg Ryan/Tom Hanks movie "You've Got Mail" is a modern day remake of? Notice the name of the book shop that Meg Ryans character owns.
