I stopped at the local thrift store and came home with: ( photo / image / picture from marlingardener's Garden ) two baskets, a white wicker one and a footed basket. The tin has different birds on each side and is brand new, and the vase is Spanish glass, faintly green. ( photo / image / picture from marlingardener's Garden ) ( photo / image / picture from marlingardener's Garden ) I spent a grand total of $1.84--so if I have to file for bankruptcy, blame it on Toni and Cheryl, the queens of thrift store "junque". This could become addictive.
Hey, Cheryl, we converted another one to the joys of thrift stores!!!! Great finds too. I love baskets, had to go through my stash a few weeks ago and send about 10 to the thrift store. The footed one is really special, whatchagonnadowithit? The white one would make a cute planter on the porch. The tin looks like it used to hold loose tea, that will be nice just sitting on a table or shelf. That glass vase is a beauty, flowers from all seasons will look good in it.
Yep Toni... got another one! Great finds Jane! I have always loved tins for some reason and that one is a definite keeper! And the jar is awesome. So many possibilities. The basket with "feet" is so cute! Can't wait to see what you do with them.
Well done Jane. I also want to see what you do with your finds. Searching the thrift stores is one of my husband's hobbies. I still don't know what he's going to do with most of the stuff he's brought home so I am planning to raid his stash if I find the time. I think an old walker would make a lovely planter...
Jane if you ever get tired of that tin guess who you can send it to? ME!!! The footed basket wouldn't go amiss here either.
I love your thrift shop finds. That is a cool glass vase. Love anything with birds on it, so thumbs up on that tin too!
I like ALL of these items, MG--It's good to see that Toni and Cheryl are having a good influence on you. I especially like the glass vase.
I have no idea what I'm going to do with my "finds". The footed basket may go down the road to the winery to hold the garlic heads we are selling there. The tin, who knows? The wicker basket might get filled with homemade French bread and a couple of containers of herbal butters, and go to the Christmas gift exchange at the church. The vase I am definitely keeping for my own enjoyment! Any and all suggestions will be gratefully considered.
C.T.& J.,Junque Specialists Extraordinary. Well found Jane,..i like the fancy,..what looks like a "Tea Caddy",..and the glass.
