    Several years ago I posted a pic of my sugarmaple that is in the back yard. The fall color of it was just beautiful. It even made the pic of the month that time. Ever since the color has not been as good, until this year.

    I transplanted it from the woods, right after we built here. It was about 3 ft. tall and only as big around as my thumb.

    The colour is lovely, Capt. :D I'd love a sugar maple, if I only had room for them!

    Gorgeous colors on that sugarmaple. Does it eventually get the bright red of other maples?

    That is really beautiful. Please post any other gorgeous autumn color trees you might have. Thanks for sharing your fall with us.Sometimes in east Texas we don't have the colors. Depends on the weather!

    I agree...it is beautiful...I am a huge tree admirer..How long did it take to get the tree that large?

    I planted it in 1982 and it only gets the orange and yellow. Last year it had more orange in it.

    Capt I found the original photo of the maple that won Pic Of The Month at the time (November 2005). It's a bit small but you can still see how it has grown.

    I just planted 6 Maples last weekend. I hope they flourish like yours has. :)
