Today is bright, sunny and warm and the little creatures around my garden are taking full advantage of the weather now that the rain has stopped. :-D So much is still flowering that it really is hard to believe that it is actually autumn. The only real sign that it's October is that my Virginia Creeper has changed from green to red. Here are a few shots I took a few minutes ago.
very nice pictrures. Everything looking green. Loved your roses. Thanks for the picts. Be nice to see them right around the middle of winter just to keep us on the upside of things.
Wow!!!!What gorgeous flowers .I love them all plus the critters but that next to the last flower is to die for.
It really is hard to believe it is October. Can you remember what your weather was like this time last year Eils? Fantastic shots.
How beautiful! I'm jealous. We have had a few bad frosts that have killed everything!! Had snow this morning I'm glad you're getting the good fall weather. Autumn really is my favorite season, when it's warm and sunny that is Deanna :-D
Jen it is a gladioli but I don't have a name for it I'm afraid as it was bought from a market stall in Holland (pick ten, mixed glads for 2.50 euros.) It's the only one that's actually flowered this year but I agree with you it is a real beauty. Frank at this time last year all the leaves on my trees had fallen and it was bitterly cold with ice on the pond. My trees at the moment are still sprouting new leaves and I have a new waterlily bud ready to bloom!! Glenda the flower you liked is one of my fuchsias - a lovely little thing isn't it?
As lovely as can be, Eileen. I love, love, love Fuchsias! And they all cringe and cower in the farthest corner of of the nursery when I approach - I have taken the lives of MANY poor Fuchsia plants.
Great pictures Eileen. I can't believe it's October either...where did summer go? We have had unusually warm weather here and the next week shall be the same. I'm loving it!! My annuals are looking better now than they have all summer! I just checked my records from last year and discovered that we had a killing frost on this day last year.
