It's Mid-Spring Downunder In My Dry Tropics Garden

I added a blog entry this evening which included these mosaics of various plants that are blooming in my garden right now. I thought I would add these mosaics here as well and name some of the plants that are flowering.

Starting at the top left and going across each row:
Row 1: New Guinea Impatiens, Salvia guaranitica, 'Bonanza' Petunia, Salvia splendens hybrid 'Dusky Hues'
Row 2: Gazanias, Streptocarpus caulescens, Rosebud Pelargonium, Torenias
Row 3: Snapdragons, Bracteantha bracteata
Row 4: Tabernaemontana corymbosa 'Arctic Snow', Cleome 'Senorita Rosalita, and Vanilla Marigolds and Bumblebee Petunias

Wow! Fabulous spring garden! Several plants I grow here and some are new to me.
I really like your Impatiens...I've never had luck with the double variety for some reason. Keep up the great photos Bernie ... I am counting on YOU to get me through the long winter ahead

 

I love my Impatiens, Netty. Over-watering seems to be the downfall for so many gardeners with them. I've certainly lost a few over the years.

I'll try to do my best to get you through your Winter, as we're getting closer to the end of our Spring and our Summer down here.

Bernie, It's a pleasure to see your pictures. I look forward to taking pictures next year. Being a beginner, I just didn't think of taking individual pics of them. I was more concerned that my new garden looked so "new and empty". LOL I heard, "be patient" more often this last summer.

Thanks Kathyd. Our Spring is heating up considerably and already feels like Summer.

Waretrop, I take individual photos all the time because my "garden" is not all that picturesque. I live in a dry tropics zone and the location of my property is not ideal for creating lovely garden beds. Most of my plants are potted.

Lukeypukey, I wish there was more green around here. Dry season means everything is rather brown and parched. That Gazania is from a series called 'Big Kiss'.

 

So many gorgeous blooms. I think I'll go back and take another look.

 

Thanks Cherylad. There's definitely been a better show this year compared to last year. We had an unusual wet 'dry' season last year ... sound strange, I know. We had far more rain than we usually get during our supposed 'dry' season last year, with loads of overcast dreary days. The annuals and perennials didn't like it. But this year it's been sunny and dry all through late Autumn, Winter and early Spring.
