About two weeks ago I watched a migrating Monarch butterfly hopping from leaf to leaf on the remaining Milkweed plant out front. I have only seen this one caterpillar but because of all the rain since that day and not getting out in the yard much either I really don't know if this is the only one or not.

It is certainly getting big, wouldn't be surprised to not find it out there in a day or two. Then 10-12 days later I could have at least one new Monarch.

That caterpillar is quite attractive. I hope that it survives.
If you discover the chrysalis under one of the leaves, take a pic of that as well...oké?

I didn't have any Monarch caterpillars this year...I am hoping next summer has more.

We don't have exotic caterpillars like yours here in Scotland. He's a handsome little devil. :-D
