It's been awhile since I posted any picture of Chance. Here she is, keeping watch from the front porch. Chance on guard ( photo / image / picture from dooley's Garden ) dooley
Well, thank heavens that Chance has a nice carpet to sit on while she is on duty! Judging from the shine on her coat, and the general "fullness" of her body, I'd guess that someone is taking very good care of Chance!
She will be 10 years old in November. We got her just by Chance, hence her name. We always go somewhere on Christmas Eve but that year the forecast was for snow on Christmas Eve so we went the day before Christmas Eve. Some people were outside of a Kmart store selling these tiny puppies to get some money to buy their kids something for Christmas. Chance was the last one left. She was shivering and cold and we just couldn't leave her there. She's a very good friend and gets treated like one of us. Than rug was in the closet and she likes something to sit on even in the house so I put it out there for her. We bring it in when she isn't out there. dooley
It's lovely to see Chance again Dooley and to know that she's still taking her guard duties seriously.
She does bark when someone comes down the road, more if they come in the driveway. But....if it's a friend or someone she knows she just stands there and wags her tail. When they knock on the door she runs us down to get there first to greet them. After all they are coming to see her....aren't they? dooley
I know if we had been shopping would bring her home also. Our rescue cat.Neighbors moved to Kansas and left her outside.Asked dh if we would feed her. After not coming home shortly Dh brought her home.
