Made 12 pints of strawberry/rhubarb jam this morning. Froze 6 cups rhubarb for winter eating. And one strawberry rhubarb pie. ( photo / image / picture from Donna S's Garden )
You didn't say you'd share your pie with us so I suppose I've just got to make my own now. It looks lovely and I'll bet it tastes better than any you'll buy in the shops. :-D
Oh, that pie looks good enough to eat ! We can't grow rhubarb here--not enough cold--but when we were up north I had rhubarb in the garden and we enjoyed it so. Thanks for another good memory!
Kerry and I have been away on a little caravan holiday...imagine how we felt when I turned on to catch up and I saw and smelt that delicious pie! Thankyou so much for that welcome home pie.
I can smell the pie from here. I stopped short of licking the computer screen. Winter eating? Your cooking would be devoured long before the winds of winter even thought about getting cold. I have to keep my mouth closed least my taste buds get loose and drag me to Virginia. Jerry
I have never seen a real rhubard or tasted it in any form before. Seeing your pie made we wants to eat my computer screen ... YUM!!! I am sure it is delicious. Thanks for the bite Donna
