A real bonus and a great idea. I wonder if the manufacturers of the bread realise they are helping gardeners out with their packaging?

    Hi Eileen,
It would be great if all packaging could be put to use,..we have another smaller brown bread here that is packaged in a zip lock bag,..also very handy,..though i doubt if the packaging people give it a thought.

Your former bread trays get a new lease on life to control water overflow. You have a lot of happy plants saying "Eat more bread Philip." :)

Great idea. So... how much bread does one have to eat to accommodate the amount of plants you have?? :D

How clever of you to see the possibilities in the bread tray!
Soda bread sounds interesting, and I do have a recipe. Think I'll try baking some, even though it won't have a reusable tray.

Excellent idea. I do keep the plassy trays the mushrooms come in for collecting my soft fruits, but I have never come across a tray like the one your bread comes in. They would come in very handy.

    Hi Jerry,
i do tend to eat lots of Brown Loaves,..and lots of Fish,..er,..reminds me of some story i heard,..stories of Loaves and Fishes?, .

    ---------------------------------------------------

    Cheryl,
not just Bread,..and,.. as mentioned Fish,..but there is a better Flowerpot Tray,..more solid plastic,..and we get it with Cheesecake,..however good the use was for this tray it didn't justify the weight i was putting up,..but you will love the little four inch high Duck Pate Containers,..i like these.

Jane,..these Bread Trays are flexible and don't break easily,..nearly all the Flowerpots both inside and outside the house have one underneath,..when we don't have rain they are great to hold water so the plant can suck up water from the roots,..oh i could do with someone to bake bread for me,..i must keep an eye out,

    :).

    ---------------------------------------------------

EJ,..i used to collect those Mushroom Trays,..i used to start seeds in them,..good for you i like to hear that.

I bet more of you have stuff you re use?,..do tell!.
