Can you believe it? Once again, the autumn horticultural show has come around, and once again, as a family, we are entering. I wasn't sure if we would have the time, what with family coming from all over the country, and world for Jonny's funeral next Wednesday, but the children love entering, and it is such a good distraction, and my onions are rather splendid. :-D I will post news tomorrow all being well. We are out on Sunday to see my auntie who is over from Oz, but will be around Sunday evening, so if I don't get on tomorrow, you will have to wait in anticipation until Sunday. 8)

Wow...how time flies, EJ. I think that I am just as anxious to see the results of your entries as you guys are of entering. It's always so exciting and fun to see.

I think that you are right about it being a good distraction. Naturally the thought and preparations involved will require concentration and I'll bet that you folks will win so many prizes that you won't be able to count them.

Anyway, have a great time and we'll all be waiting right here til sunday night. :)

Just quickly as we have been watching the Last Night of the Proms and are about to go to bed....but I wanted to let you know, 9 firsts, 2 seconds and 5 thirds for me. The children also got plenty of prizes, and both won a trophy each. More tomorrow. :)

Congrats, EJ---I watched the Last Night Of The Proms here, as well as we get BBC channels. We watch them every year.

Looking forward to the pics of your triumphs.
    Well done, all!

Ahhhh...now EJ, these were well worth waiting for. It was fun just scrolling down seeing one winner after another.
Were those third place "coloured spuds" Pink Fir? They looked pretty darn good to me.
I liked the looks of the shallots and the apples as well.
You must have been quite happy with these results.
