I have finished moving the leftover firewood from the big shed to the small shed that is near the house. So the big shed is ready for when I start cutting and splitting for this coming season. I had about 1/2 of the wood that I had put up, left over. It's been under cover for a year, so it is well dried out and should burn really good. It was too wet to mow the yard today, so I used the new tractor to haul wood. :D Man the difference between the old tractor and the new one is like the difference between a Yugo and a cadillac! I am very happy with it so far!

It must be great CK to be able to do all these jobs quicker and easier than before. The new tractor is certainly starting to pay for itself already. :-D

Mine is a Craftsman - about 5 years old. I love it and really hate to let my husband near it, except of course to change the oil and fill the gas tank and sharpen the blades!

Yeah, but since the wood is free, I figure my cost is about $50. for the wood burning season. That's for gas and oil for the tractor, saw and wood splitter. Wood heats you 3 time for the cost. Once when you cut it, once when you split it, and once when you burn it! :D

The newer Troy Built's and the Cub Cadet are both made by the same manufacturer, MTD. MTD now makes just about all the tractors and mowers sold in the US except for John Deer and maybe Toro.
