I've been a bit wrapped up this week so apologies for the PlantStew images and plant suggestions awaiting approval. I hope to get them done tomorrow.

The school I studied at last semester offered me some English teaching work as a substitute teacher. I'd never done any real teaching before so I accepted. "Butterflies in the stomach"-feelings aside I did enjoy it and the students actually took me seriously :D I'm not officially trained to teach English but as native English speakers are few and far between around these parts they gave me a chance.

Not sure I could ever make a second career out of it but it was rewarding.

Normal transmission resumes now :) (I think)

Congrats Frank! I'm sure you did a wonderful job. I'll bet the students will be asking for their 'favorite' sub again!

Well done for having the courage to give it a go Frank despite the butterflies. Foreign students find it so much easier to learn from native English teachers and I'm sure your students have been taught quite a bit by you already. :-D

Having stood up infront of a class full of school kids and spoken to them for nearly an hour on soil, I can well appreciate the butterflies you felt! Well done you, I have the utmost respect.

Well done Frank. :D I'm so pleased for your students. If you keep at it, might we hear Swedes speaking English with an Irish lilt?

    Thanks all :)

That was actually happening already. The thing is that I have to teach the classes through Swedish. So it's very good practice for my Swedish also.
