    Good Afternoon,

I have serveral ivy plants and they all are different in appearance. How does one identify what type of ivy it is or does it matter (are all ivy's care requirements the same)?

Here is one of the ivys that I have. The leaves on this one are very large (compared to the other ones I have) measuring 3" X 3.5". It also seems to sprouting more leaves at the base of the other leaves.

Again not sure it matters what type of ivy, but it might be fun knowing which ivy is which.

There are actually only a few species of ivy. H helix, canariensis, azorica, nepalensis, cypria, hibernica, maderensis, maroccana and pastuchovii.
So called English Ivy is H. helix and there are hundreds of diffeent named forms of it. There are a fair number of named forms of H. hispanica too. Telling any of them apart is an experts job.
