I have 3 Jatropha plants, all have many leaves that are 1/2 inch to 1 inch in size. This year the leaves have never grown to 8 to 12 inch size as they have in the past.

What would be a reason for the leaves not growing to what has been a normal size (8 to 10 inches)?

There might be several reasons for this. Are the plants cramped? Did they get proper food for growing? How about enough water? Or maybe too much water? What kind of temperatures do they like? Has it been too warm, too cold or just not to their liking? Are there signs of disease?
