Feel a bit guilty in some ways, showing these, when so many people have suffered so much damage with the weather. We have been very lucky and while the garden is a bit soggy, it is actually thriving. Still friends who lost their garden altogether (last seen floating down river!)said I should go ahead, so here it is, taken yesterday morning smg.photobucket.com/... Just to add that I do not feel quite so guilty today. We had a gale last night which demolished the marquee, beyond repair, that we had just finished erecting for a big family party on Saturday. Been round just and cut back or stood up as many plants as possible. Great summer we are having!!!!!!!
I am envious of your nice big plot there. Don't let the temperamental weather affect your mood. Remember new life will form after every nature destruction. Nothing will be lost and so shall our will to make things right after that.
Sorry to hear about the marquee Eric. I hope your family party can still go ahead tomorrow. So much for the 'hotter than 2006' summer the weather men predicted!! Your garden certainly does look as though it's thriving despite all the rain though. :-D
Your gardens are just beautiful Palustris! How ever do you get the time to keep them all so weedless and tidy? That's a lot of garden you have there!
