We have a house that sold cheese retail on the corner near our home. Everyone called it the cheese factory because long ago, they did make the cheese right their. A family lived there and the lady took care of selling the cheese, cheese curds , etc.

Everyone except a cat made it out safely but it was a total loss. I have not heard yet what the cause of the fire was. You know how rumors fly so I won't say unless I read something in the paper what started it.

These last 2 pictures are from the next day, after the fire..You could still smell it smoldering. One of the fire people asked for pictures of the fire so I made him a disk of the almost 90 shots I took.

How sad! Fires are the worst, they're so destructive. I'm glad the family got out. What will they do now? I hope they were properly insured.

They call fire the great destroyer, and from your photographs, it's definately well named. I'm so glad everyone survived but it must be dreadful to watch your home go up in flames. :(

So glad everyone made it out safe. Going through that is one of THE worst things. The smell lingers with you, the nightmares also. (I lost my mom in a house fire, in March

    Oh my gosh!
When we lived at the old house, the house across the street burned down. No one was hurt, but they did lose their cat. It was a horrible, horrible thing and I would never wish that upon anyone.
I'm so sorry for your loss Quietly Awesome.
