Just a butterfly photo

    Here's a photo of a butterfly on the yellow trumpet vine.
    He was just sitting and sitting there. Once I got the photo, I realized he was in his final stages of life. He didn't last too much longer. :'(

    That Gulf Fritillary does look like it's the end, never realized they got dark like that before dying.

    That poor old guy looks worn out...but even in this state, he looks beautiful.

    That's life I guess. They brighten our summer with their lovely colours, and then they sort of wilt alongside our plants. :(

    I agree that even in that stage of life, he is beautiful.

    It's sad to see butterflies fading an dying. However, they've done their job and a whole new generation will be around next year because of them. :-D
