They are so beautiful!! I bought a red, pink and a yellow one. They are already in bloom.

Now, I need to know how to take care of them. I was planning to put them together in a container. Do you think they do well in containers or should I plant them in the garden? I do have a shady spot towards the back of the garden.
I hope that they are in my garden for more than this year - I heard/read that they are perennials.
    TIA!

Wait till frost is done, plant outside .. Mine are quite hardy.. Being yours are potted, they need to be used after frost..

Congratulations on your primroses. If they're the kind we've got here, they're very hardy, but will need to get used to living outside. They don't like to dry out, but they're not very fond of being too wet either.

Tina, those of mine have been in a large pot by my front door since I bought them.
We had a light ice storm a few days after I bought them, they were coated in ice for about 24 hours. The blooms where history and the leaves got a little brown around the edges but they have bounced back just fine. We have also had about 4 or 5 nights with temps dropping below 32 degrees but they came thru just fine.

In fact they are blooming more today than when I brought them home.
