Wow...this thing is sure fast compared to my last Dell. Of course it was 5 or 6 years old and so jam packed with photos....of course this one will be too. I am just learning windows 7, it is different but I like it. Change is good....makes my mind work on thinking what I am doing...LOL I feel pretty bad...we were setting the computer up and I forgot my 2 dogs outside...it is only in the low 30's...I hope that milk bone I gave them makes them forget that I forgot them.
A big congrats, Sherry. New compi's are so nice to have. Did you get an external hard disk to store your piccies on so that it won't burden your regular hard disk in your computer? Have fun with that new thing.
Isn't having a new computer just the best thing ever? :-D When I got this one I could hardly tear myself away from it to make meals, clean the house or even go to the loo!!! I'm sure the dogs will forgive you - after all they got a nice treat when they came back inside. Enjoy you new Dell.
So happy for the new Dell owner.. I am waiting to see more brands with windows 7 on them. Keep us posted on how you enjoy it .I want to see if I can get dsl in my area. Sjoerd , someone just talked of the external hd. Are they pricey? Thanks B
I do not find them pricey, B. The price that they do cost is related to the amount of data that they can hold...and they come in all sizes.
Ok.........and they are all on usb port , right? I have my usb ports all full now . Some sort of thingy for the wireless mouse on here . 2 different cameras ....... Guess I am a hog.. On my old computer I discovered I can run my camcorder on it an my Security camera.. I can watch the yard while sitting on my butt.LOL b
Congrats on the new computer Sherry! I'll have to get a new one soon too I think. I currently have a Dell and love it so I think I'll probably get another.
I need one with lots of usb ports.. My gateway is full of that.. However I dont see any new gateways around like it . b

Sherry, I am so happy you got your new computer. I know you will enjoy it. I ordered mine from Dell about 4 years ago. I like the Dell, but when it is time to replace it, I may just get an HP locally. I'm sure you little dogs will forgive you!

Thank you every one. I liked my Dell before so that is why I picked one again... Sjoerd...I do have an external hard drive for my pictures....but my computer was still slow. I think it just needs a good cleaning and a lot of programs removed. I also had a lot of problems with things just popping up whenever they wanted to.
