Just hatched....a baby....

    Golden Seabright Bantam Chick hatched tonight in my incubator. I have 34 more of these eggs in the incubator. Have a blooming day! :stew2:

    It is so awesome to see a chick hatching out. They are so cute when the fluff dries. What do you do with all these bantams, though?

    We sell most of them to help pay for feed for our large egg layers and the few bantams that we keep. :)

    What a cute baby. Will we see him fluffed out? I can never get tired of seeing newly hatched chicks. They are all so special.

    That's what we do with all our chicks. We save most of the large ones for selling eggs but hold out a certain amount for hatching, of which some will be held back to add to the flock and the others will be sold.

    I didn't like this cycle at the beginning but I have become accustom to it.
