I just got home a bit ago. I got down to the hospital a bit after nine this morning and everyone was standing around waiting for me. dr wouldn't go to surgery until I got there. He finally went into surgery about 11 am and it lasted until about 1:20. He was in recovery an hour. He said when he woke up he didn't know where he was or even who he was. When he got back to the room he was still pretty much out of it. It took until about 4 pm for it to wear off enough that he could carry on a coherent conversation! He had microscopic surgery. No incision, just 5 small holes and one a bit larger. He was feeling good but it was because they kept putting stuff into his IV. He's hoping they'll let him come home tomorrow. The nurse said he has to be able to eat and keep it down and not be in pain from it. He was eating supper when I left. They had him up in a chair. He was going to sleep though so the nurse was going to help him back to bed. Thanks for all the good thoughts and prayers. I'm thinking I'll go to bed soon. Last night and today were rather tiring.

Happy to hear that the surgery went well. And please try to get some rest. Be careful on the roads too.
    Hugs!

Dooley, first and foremost, look after yourself as DR will need some care when he gets home. We don't want you getting exhausted. He's in the best place now to make a good recovery and having a day, or two, to recuperate yourself from all the travelling and stress will do you the power of good.
It's good to know that DR is eating and that the surgery went so well for him.

I'm getting ready to leave now. Hopefully I'll get to bring him home. I'll make up the bed before I go though. I slept 9 hours last night,.
