This year I counted over 18 different butterflies. Wanted to share this one. This Monarch had just emerged from it's chrysalis and was drying it's wings on the pine tree. New Monarch ( photo / image / picture from naturenanni's Garden )
Lovely photo. The butterfly really stands out. I sort of feel that the bright orange in the pine tree is totally wrong. Like somebody put a plastic toy in there just for fun.
Thanks everyone! I have more photos of other butterflies in my yard just have to get them re-sized to share. I wanted so bad to catch the Monarch emerging the chrysalis it was on the side of my garden shed...but I just missed it!
