While at the family house over the weekend... took some photos of "wild" stuff.
This is some sort of blue flower that grows all over the place down here. They're so pretty, I hated mowing down a bunch of them... but did leave a few behind.

And there's some Shamrock/Oxalis growing around too.

And as nasty as they are... Thistles can be so pretty too!

And lastly... some weed growing among the lilies. Since it looks so striking there, I was hoping it would have some pretty flowers. But nope... just these.

Those are great pics you have there and a nice variety of wild flowers you have growing. I've never seen pink Oxalis before, are they native there? That blue flower is a Tradescantia and that one at the bottom looks like it might be some sort of Carex or Juncus maybe.

Yes the pink Oxalis just grow wild... everywhere! They are so pretty... I've been trying to save as many as I can from the lawn mower. And thanks for the ID on the Spiderwort... I was just looking online trying to figure out what it is.
I'll check on the other one in just a bit.

Yes FlowerFreak... that "weed" is indeed Juncus. Now I can tell my brother to leave it alone! :-D

Glad I could help :D . Yea, when I mow the grass I usually mow around anything that either looks interesting or pretty which usually leaves the yard looking kinda funny, but at least there are some nice flowers in those funny spots. :p
