I found out if you have an outside water faucet or pump, To keep it from getting muddy under it , Dig a hole under the faucet and fill it with rocks or gravel and that works really well and no mud, Mine is always a muddy mess and this really helped,And it just cost a 4.00 bag of gravel

A duckboard works also. You can make it any size and shape.

What is a duckboard? I've never heard the term.

Dockboards are boards attached to a platform spaced apart to allow for water and small material to fall in between allowing for a dry/clutter free surface on which to stand. Google duckboard and view images to see what they look like. There are many different configurations to fit a multitude of applications. Quite often in wet areas.

I had to laugh about your title since we have had so much rain lately, and my yard is mud soup... :D

Under the outdoor spigot, I have a few old bricks that I found lying around and they work too. :stew1:

Good tip! Ours have paving stones underneath them, and they work well too.
